Uncommon Menu

TAAN Head Chef Monthep “Thep” Kamolsilp’s newly curated menu, dubbed UNCOMMON, offers a bold new perception of classic Thai cuisine across 10 fun-packed courses. 

It all began when Chef Thep questioned himself, ‘How do I make Thai food that is not normal?”

Attempting to answer that, he and his kitchen team have redesigned and revised popular Thai staples like ‘Yum Tua Phlu’, ‘Som Tum’ and ‘Tom Kha Soup’ through innovative techniques drawn from the world of cooking. 

“The dishes were selected for the reason that everyone knows about them and has a clear preconception of what they are,” Chef Thep says, “But expectations are made to be exceeded.”

Following a similar philosophy to our food, our drinks highlight local base spirits and ingredients with stories behind them. Where possible, the bar team makes all elements from scratch, also utilising many infusion techniques to get the most flavours out of the ingredients.
