We invite you to join us for an extraordinary event that embodies our deep-rooted passion for supporting local Thai suppliers and their sustainable practices.

Introducing TAAN’s Artisan Meet & Greet Dinner — an immersive three-day experience from 26-28 October 2023.

This promises to be a celebration of Thai suppliers who have dedicated themselves to environmentally friendly practices and exceptional ingredients.

With this event, TAAN Executive Chef Monthep “Thep” Kamolsilp welcomes four outstanding suppliers—one specialising in chicken and eggs, one in beef, one in seafood and another in wine—who all share a passion for quality and innovation.

Throughout the three days, these extraordinary suppliers will take centre stage, sharing their inspiring stories, sustainable farming techniques, and the exceptional ingredients that they provide. With an exclusive curation of 9-courses, Chef Thep’s menu celebrates exceptional local ingredients, putting them at the forefront of each dish.

 

TAAN aims to create a unique experience for food enthusiasts, promote access to alternative sources of ingredients and foster connections between producers and consumers. By exploring the local culinary wisdom in each region, Chef Thep and the team hope to contribute to distributing income within communities, stimulating local economies, and consistently supporting farmers.

Meet the Artisans
The Artisans Meet & Greet Dinner will give diners the rare opportunity to meet some of Thailand’s most prestigious and hard-working suppliers, each of whom will share their inspiring stories.

 

 

On 26 October, Nuttaphon Klangwichai of NK Wagyu Sri Chiang Mai will share his insights from more than two decades of farming experience and more than four years dedicated to perfecting Thai Wagyu beef. He says: “Our Thai Wagyu beef has a unique characteristic where the meat has marbled fat intertwined like handwoven silk. The cattle are raised for more than 2-4 years, a result of crossbreeding between indigenous Thai cattle, which are the foundation of the country, with Brahman cattle, Charolais, and Wagyu.”

 

 

 

 

 

On 27 October, will see Kittipong Wanphikhod, the founder of Tapi Seafood, share his stories of supporting local fishermen from the shores of Southern Thailand. Their contemporary management methods and commitment to the art of preservation guarantees longer-lasting and superior seafood that’s in-demand all around the country.

 

 

 

 

 

On 28 October it will be the turn of Tan-Khun Organic Farm, an organic chicken and eggs specialist from Nakhon Pathom led by Amnart Reansoi. Free-range is a term that refers to a method of chicken husbandry where the animals are able to roam freely outdoors rather than being confined by an enclosure for 24 hours a day. Khun Amnart takes pride in cultivating his own organic rice, ensuring his chickens enjoy a completely organic diet.

 

 

 

 

 

Throughout the event, TAAN is delighted to showcase the Thai craft wine of GranMonte by Wisut and Sakulna Lohitnavee. As the sole producer of hot-climate wine in Thailand, their winery located in the vineyards of Khao Yai is renowned for its high-quality produce, combined with unique techniques and production methods following standards set by the Monde Selection.

Each night, these dedicated suppliers will take centre stage, sharing their remarkable stories, sustainable farming techniques, and the incredible ingredients they provide. You’ll have the privilege of exploring their produce through Chef Thep’s visionary creations, as he curates a 9-course menu that puts this local produce at the forefront.

This event is not just a showcase of culinary delights; it is a heartfelt endeavour to raise awareness, inspire change and foster a deep appreciation for the efforts of our local suppliers.
