On this special night, we delve into the heart of Thai tradition, paying homage to the goddess of water, Phra Mae Kong Kha, and honouring the age-old practice of Loy Krathong. This event, held for one night only, promises an unforgettable evening filled with enchanting stories, cultural immersion, and tantalising flavours.
TAAN will transport you back in time with its seasonal Ayutthaya menu complemented by a special drink menu inspired by Loy Krathong. The event embodies TAAN’s deep-rooted passion for Thai culture and traditions, which includes paying respects to the goddess of water, Phra Mae Kong Kha, and the Buddha.
Chef Monthep “Thep” Kampolsilp, renowned for his culinary brilliance, curates a 9-course menu that showcases our dedication to the very best Thai produce and tradition. Each dish is infused with stories and memories, transporting you back in time and place.
Be enchanted by our creative presentations, including the Rim Srabua (River Prayer), which pays homage to the river prayer tradition during Loy Krathong. With a presentation resembling a krathong (floating vessel), it combines the essence of river serenity with a harmonious blend of aromatic herbs, tender pork and vibrant spices. It’s a masterpiece on the plate.
Another menu highlight is Full Moon Eve, which draws inspiration from nature’s tranquility and coolness. The dish incorporates a delightful combination of banana mousse cake, sundried banana and caramel ice cream, artfully crafted to evoke the mystique of a moonlit night.
Indulge in the essence of Loy Krathong with three specially crafted drinks, including the signature Rimwaree Cocktail—a blend of lychees, gin, and butterfly pea kaffir lime, creatively presented to resemble leaves floating on water. Explore the Krathong mocktail, a refreshing concoction inspired by nature and the tranquility of a full moon night.
